Some of what MV did for May 2006

Well May Motorcycle Safety & Awareness has passed. Did you see our Billboards up at Burns Construction on Rt. 70, Exit 44 and at Green Valley Beer Dist in North Versailles? If not, they are still up. We'll leave the one on Rt. 70 up all riding season, about another 5 months. Hope we saved a few lives!

Also....Meryl did an ad for Safety Awareness with Sean McDowell on WDVE.

Sue also got radio air time on 14 Pittsburgh/local radio stations, 3 ads on My Space Radio Stations.  WRCT, WQED, WPTS & My Space, WLTJ, WKST & My Space, WSHH, WZPT, WXDX, KDKA AM, KQV AM, WRRK, 3Ws. Sue also got MV on BikerBits.Com.

Donna won 15 seconds on 3Ws for MV promoting May: Motorcycle Safety & Awareness Month. It was on air Friday May 5th at drive home time between 4:30 and 5:15 PM

Patty got the Mayor of West Newton, Art Baraducci, to help us place Yard signs and she also got The Sun Times Newspaper to come take pictures.
And our BIGGEST accomplishment.......Mike Dorich, Faculty Admin. of Surgical/Medics at Pittsburgh Technical Institute, heard our ads on the radio stations and checked out Mon Valley’s website, then he contacted us to come to the College and present O.S.A.L. and Motorcycle Safety!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

This was a great opportunity to reach people, including kids and teachers, regarding motorcycle safety.  May 18th, Tom, Sue, Patty, Cinbad, Donna & Bart went. May 25th, Tom, Sue, Patty, Cinbad & Dewey went and Bill Foley came to observe.

Cinbad, Tom & Patty went to classrooms and presented the OSAL program and Sue handed out literature. We had a booth set up with a TV playing the OSAL tape/DVD.  The Medic students had a Chinese Auction that included some Harley shirts, etc. and they are donating the money raised to our Gifts for Kids & Patients.  We do not have a donation figure yet. Patty also got a student (female) to sign up for the PA Motorcycle Safety Program!!!  Way to go Patty!!!!!
